Holistic Counseling in New Hampshire and Massachusetts
Licensed care that holds the whole of who you are. Therapy for people on a spiritual path who need a clinician that gets it.
Holistic counseling is therapy that doesn't pathologize. It draws on the same clinical training as traditional therapy — but rather than following a fixed protocol, it follows you. We integrate the body, the nervous system, and the whole of who you are.
What Is Holistic Counseling?
Holistic counseling is an integrative approach to therapy that honors the complexity and wholeness of the human experience. Rooted in the same clinical foundations as traditional psychotherapy, it moves beyond a one-size-fits-all model by honoring the uniqueness of each individual and the wisdom of the body, nervous system, psyche, spirit, and our innate connection to nature and the living world.
Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or diagnosis, holistic counseling works with the whole person: mind, body, emotions, spirit, relationships, environment, and lived experience. It recognizes that many of the struggles we carry are adaptive responses to overwhelm, trauma, attachment wounds, or environments where we learned to survive by disconnecting from ourselves, each other, and the natural rhythms of life. This approach also honors how chronic stress, modern ways of living, and disconnection from land, community, and nature can contribute to many of the symptoms people experience today.
This work honors symptoms as meaningful messengers, carrying wisdom and insight into what is asking to be seen, supported, and healed.
Holistic Counseling integrates Attachment-Focused EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), polyvagal-informed approaches, and other body-based modalities that support trauma resolution, nervous system repair, and emotional integration. Together, we explore the deeper patterns that shape your experience — including relational, developmental, ancestral, intergenerational, and unconscious imprints that may still be living within the body and nervous system.
Through inner child healing, somatic awareness, and nervous system work, we begin to uncover where survival patterns were formed and what your unique system needs in order to feel safe enough to soften them. This process supports the body in metabolizing stored stress, incomplete survival responses, and trauma physiology that may have remained unresolved for years.
As the nervous system begins to reorganize and move out of chronic states of fight, flight, freeze, or fawn, there is often more space for clarity, connection, presence, emotional freedom, embodiment, and a deeper relationship with your authentic self.
At its core, holistic counseling is a return to wholeness — supporting you in reconnecting to your body, your truth, your life force, the natural world, and the deeper intelligence within you.
Who Is This For?
Holistic counseling is for individuals who are moving through a healing, spiritual awakening, or deep transformational process and are seeking support that honors the full complexity of their experience. Many people come to this work after realizing that insight and spiritual growth alone are not enough when unresolved trauma, nervous system dysregulation, inherited patterns, or wounded inner child parts continue to shape how they feel, relate, and move through the world. This approach is especially supportive for those who feel called toward deeper embodiment and authenticity, yet notice themselves repeatedly pulled back into survival patterns, emotional overwhelm, anxiety, shutdown, people-pleasing, or disconnection from self.
It is also for those seeking a licensed clinician who can hold both the psychological and spiritual dimensions of healing, someone who understands the nervous system and trauma, while also honoring intuition, spirituality, consciousness, and the deeper meaning-making process that can emerge during awakening and transformation. Rather than asking you to separate or suppress the spiritual aspects of yourself, this work creates space for all parts of your experience to be welcomed, explored, and integrated in a grounded and supportive way.

The clinical and the spiritual are not in conflict here. They are the point.
Most traditional therapeutic models were not designed for people whose healing and growth are unfolding at the intersection of nervous system healing and spiritual awakening. My practice is especially supportive for those on a spiritual or holistic path who are seeking grounded, trauma-informed care that can honor both the psychological and spiritual dimensions of their journey.
What to Expect
The intention of this work is to support a return to greater wholeness, wellness, and connection to your authentic self, so you can live with more clarity, presence, embodiment, and alignment with your truth. Therapy is not about fixing who you are, but about gently uncovering and healing the patterns, wounds, and survival adaptations that may be keeping you disconnected from yourself, your life force, and the life you desire to create.
This work moves at the pace your nervous system can safely hold and unfolds alongside your own unique healing path. Rather than forcing transformation, we work collaboratively to create enough safety, support, and awareness within the system for healing to emerge organically over time.
As the process unfolds, many people begin to notice less mental chatter, greater emotional resilience, more connection to their body and intuition, and a softening of long-held survival patterns. At times, however, turning toward these deeper layers can feel uncomfortable, emotional, or painful. Together, we gently support the nervous system in developing the capacity to stay present with what arises so that stored stress, incomplete survival responses, and unresolved emotional experiences can gradually move through and integrate rather than remain stuck within the body.
Over time, this process can create more space for authenticity, connection, emotional freedom, embodiment, and a deeper sense of inner wholeness.
How Many Sessions?
Often, we begin by meeting weekly for a period of time to build momentum and support the nervous system in developing greater safety, awareness, and capacity. From there, we begin to get a clearer sense of what feels most supportive moving forward.
For some people, the work may eventually shift to every other week or unfold through a shorter series of sessions. In other cases, a significant activation may already be close to the surface, allowing for meaningful shifts within one or two sessions. Every nervous system and healing journey is different.
The intention of this work is to restore greater wellness, regulation, and wholeness — so you can reconnect with who you truly are and create a life that feels aligned with your truth.
Intensive Sessions
For those feeling ready to go deeper in a more concentrated way, Jackie offers Half Day Intensive Sessions — approximately 3 to 4 hours of dedicated somatic and EMDR-based work.
Intensives create space for the nervous system to move more fully through material that may take longer to access in traditional weekly sessions, allowing for deeper immersion, continuity, and integration without the repeated stop-and-start cycle.
These sessions are especially supportive for people wanting focused work around a specific activation, core wound, life transition, or are in a period of accelerated healing and transformation.
If you are interested in an intensive, you can mention it during your discovery call and Jackie will help assess whether it feels aligned and supportive for where you are in your journey.
How I Work
I work integratively and intuitively, listening closely to you, to your nervous system, to what is alive in the moment, and to where the session naturally wants to unfold. I draw from trainings in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, EFT, attachment and psychodynamic theory as a woven framework, allowing the work to emerge organically based on what is most needed.
During the first few sessions, I take a general history and listen closely for your goals, patterns, and what feels most important for your healing process. Together, we begin creating a focused plan that supports where you are and where you want to move toward.
Throughout the process, I am tracking your nervous system patterns and gathering information about the conditioning patterns that shaped you — how you learned to organize yourself within your family of origin, relationships, and early environment in order to feel safe, connected, or protected.
Sometimes that means working with a younger part of you that still feels frozen in time. Sometimes deeper emotional, relational, or energetic layers begin to surface. Together, we follow what presents with curiosity, compassion, and attunement — with the intention of helping you reconnect to the truth of who you are underneath the survival patterns.
